1. To present old friends with a reminder times past, an original b/w photo was scanned and repaired.

2. The mediocre image quality is improved with a sepia toned effect produced with Photoshop's blending modes.

3. An antique metal picture frame is created completely in Photoshop using custom textures. Simulated lighting effects are created using Levels controls and masks.

4. The final email-card combines the image and picture frame. The antique look is enhanced with the use of image masks from Extensis PhotoFrame.
