"The Athlete's Body" poster

The illustration is for an interdisciplinary conference on the athlete's role in history, on the field, and in society.

A variety of visual ideas were produced and the client chose to develop on this theme of a diver almost flying above the solid ground and a grid of logic circuit diagrams.

The circuit diagrams were drawn in Adobe Illustrator, a composite of electronic symbols. The stock image of the diver was dramatically changed to be less an image of a specific diver and to stand out against the background color. Four images were modified and composited to form the final image.
